To hear football fans talking this morning you would think that World War III has broken out. Such fury! Such rage! Such misplaced values!!!!
The world in the Middle East IS blowing up in our faces and the enemies of Israel (the Islamic nations around that country) are vowing to wipe Israel off the face of the map…..the killing of our totally unprotected Ambassador in Benghazi, Libya and the subsequent furor over the sexual and other physical torments he suffered before he died and was dragged through the streets—– supposedly to a hospital—–pale in comparison to the Sound and Fury of the football fans who saw Seattle win in the last 3 seconds of a game with Green Bay Monday night when the subsitute referees called a touchdown after several players from both teams went for a Hail Mary pass into the end zone in the final 3 seconds of the game.
I thought a meteor had hit somewhere on earth when I heard the retired old duffers at the Community Center in DL talking about the game and that call.
Oh well, except for a few rabid fans, it will be forgotten in 24-36 hours.
I bet the professional refs who are “locked out” of negotiations are jubilant.
But then there is HARRY REID AGAIN!!!!!
Dirty Harry (aka “weaselpuss”) has injected one of his infamous gaffe-ey statements into the news by saying that Mitt Romney has SULLIED Mormonism and that Mitt is “Not the face of Mormonism”.
Nice try at dragging religious belief into the campaign. Let us suppose that one of Mitt Romney’s top aides had made such a statement about Barack Obama. As in “President Obama should not show his face in Utah because he is not the face of Christianity/Islam/ No
Religion and therefore is a disgrace to those religious beliefs or non -beliefs”.
Can you imagine the WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH coming from the Liberals?
But Dimwitted Harry plunges forward with his crazy words…either he IS crazy (brain dementia or damage) or he doesns’t care what he says or he thinks he is helping the President by saying such stupid things to the Salt Lake Tribune newspaper last Friday when it was learned the Mitt Romney would be in Utah campaigning.
Harry better watch his flapping lips and tongue because HE could be the one “sully-ing” the Mormon faith with all his questionable business dealings in which he has made himself a millionaire while supposedly serving in the office of the Senator from Utah.
I think Mormons frown on lack of integrity, honesty and possible criminal activities that might help one or two of his sons get richer like Daddy.
Harry Reid is not only a disgrace to the Mormon faith but he is a disgrace to his office and to this nation.
Has there ever been such sleaziness in the office of Senate Leader? (well maybe during Lyndon Johnson’s reign in the 1950-s and early 60′s but that is highly debatable) I do not recall LBJ saying such outrageous things in public.
