A stunning statement was made by President Obama when he spoke at the National La Raza Council session most recently. Speaking of his frustration with immigration reform he said bluntly:
” The idea of doing things on my own is very tempting.
I promise you not just on immigration reform.
But that’s not how our system works. That’s not how our democracy functions. That’s no how our consitution is written”
(there he seems to be reminding himself of some truths, which for him seem unfortunate. when he, the One Who Knows All—could be a dictator and solve it all)

To make matters worse (or very different) the latest Rasmussen Reports had a summary of the presidential approval index and other presidential things and they, too, are stunning and totally disconnected from what the president is thinking and saying.
For a few examples: On July 25 (today) the total disapproval rating for the president is at 55% and there is a list of other findings on other days in July since there are daily polls taken.
57% of Americans favor repeal of the healthcare law.
66% favor border control ahead of the legal status of illegal immigrants.
It appears once again that the President-In-His-Own Bubble-World in the White House has no idea of the people’s desires for this nation. But when one wants to do it on his own (dictatorship) one does not pay attention to such information that is scientific and strongly against his desires.

If he were to “do it on his own” I think we know what he would do…he would legalize every illegal in this country….more voters for him, he thinks.
Everything done by this president seems to be predicated on his re-election; he does not govern, he goes to favorable venues and orates. As the leading man in the Government Accounting Office said recently when asked about predicting something about the American economy, he said “We cannot make predictions based on speeches.”
The press conference (the public breakdown of the president) last Friday was given at a carefully chosen venue with only those friendly to the president’s policies allowed to be at the townhall at a campus of course….I think this was the U of Maryland. He cannot face a REAL townhall unless the audience has been vetted and chosen and they must be favorable to him!!!
With the most recent developments in the debt ceiling negotiations, it appears that with Obama left out of the picture, the leaders of both house and senate of both parties will likely get an agreement done before the August 2 deadline. It will undoubtedly be for the good of the nation rather than for the good of the next presidential election….although you can count on politics being part of the hammering out of the agreement by the Leaders of the Congress. Hopefully not as much.
I read another disturbing article this morning titled “Is the president a pathological liar?” It is worth reading and was on a major news link site this morning.
The possiblity of a national leader plagued by a mental and emotional disorder (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) seems to be confirmed more and more as each day passes and we see the President’s true personality unfold before our eyes.
