I did not put politics as one of my interests when I started this blog but it is one of my strong interests, so I might as well stick my neck out and express my rather strong views on the situation in the Middle East at the moment. Israel has attacked Hezbollah strongholds in southern Lebanon and the "Axis of Weasels" (as in France, Germany, other Euro-states, Russia, China, and most of the Arabic countries) have gone on a verbal attack towards Israel, yammering about their cruelty, their over-reaction, their punishing attacks on "innocent people" in southern Lebanon, etc, ad nauseum. The impotent United Nations has launched into more useless talking and debating, proving once again that the UN is the biggest WMD on the face of this earth (Weapon of Mass Discussion) How many more resolutions can they pass and not enforce??? How many blue-hatted UN "troops" can they send out in order to rape and torture innocent civilians in their wake? (as in the Sudan) I am thoroughly sick and tired of the blaming of Israel, whose land belongs to them…and a whole lot more according to the Old Testament books of the Bible. There was an Israel long before the "prophet" Muhammed came along and invented Islam. There have been at least 3 Jewish states in that land called Palestine and there NEVER has been an organized Muslim or Arab state in that same area. Here are some interesting and revealing numerical comparisons between Israel and its Palestinian-Arab-Muslim enemies who have tried to destroy Israel in several wars since 1948 (all of them lost by the Arabs). Number of times Jerusalem is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible: 700. Number of times Jerusalem is mentioned in the Koran: 0. Number of terrorist attacks by Jews since 1967: 1. Number of terrorist attacks by Arabs/Muslims since 1967: Thousands. Number of Jewish countries in the world: 1. Number of Arab countries in the world: 19. Number of Jewish democracies: 1. Number of Arab democracies: 0. Number of Muslim prayer services allowed in Israel: Unlimited. Number of Jewish prayer services allowed in Saudi Arabia: 0. Number of Arabs allowed to live in settlements in Israel: 1,250,000. Number of Jews allowed to live in settlements under Palestinian Authority: 0. Number of UN Security Council resolutions on Middle East between 1948 and 1991: 175. Number of these resolutions against Israel: 97. Number of these resolutions agains Arab states: 4.

Do these this numerical comparison tell you anything at all about the way the world views Israel? Does it smack of what is known as Anti-Semitism? Why does the world think that only Israel is not allowed to defend itself against the attacks of Hezbollah and Hamas and the PLO, all of whom hide in civilian populations and deliberately launch rocket attacks from civilian areas on Jewish towns and cities???? Where is the condemnation of all the attacks against the innocent Israelis who have been systematically murdered in vicious terrorist attacks in marketplaces, restaurants, synagogues, wedding receptions, school buildings and other places where innocents will be sure to be slaughtered. Why does the world look favorably on these wanton Murderers who strap explosives to their bodies and think they will go to Islamic heaven where 70 Virgins will be their reward??? What kind of a perverted religion is this anyway???? The Jews have every right to defend themselves and destroy the enemies who want to annhilate them. It will never happen; God has promised to defend Israel and has already done so on numerous occasions in ancient history and has done so in modern history in the miraculous Israeli victories in the wars of 1947-48, in the Six Day war of 1967 and again when Egypt attacked Israel in the Sinai Peninsula in the 1970′s. Israel has given away its promised land time and time again and its result has been more and more outrageous demands and terrorist attacks against Israel. Let the Israelis do what it takes to defend themselves against the most recent outrages of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon; no Cease Fire til the job is done.
